印池设计创立于2018年，创始人戴纯在室内设计行业已有十余年的从业经验，创立印池设计，她的目标是给人们定制不一样的生活体验。本期BuildMost设计专访，让我们一起了解印池设计。
INCHI studio was founded in 2018. Dai Chun, the founder, has more than ten years of experience in the interior design industry. She founded INCHI studio to make use of design to serve people a better life experience. Here’s her story.

Q：印池设计创立以来承接了不少家装、公装项目，品牌背后的寓意和设计理念是什么？
Q: What is the meaning and design concept behind the name INCHI studio?
“印”出自《易经》，是保护、仁慈、智慧的意思；“池”代表的是包容，包罗万象，同时在古代也是一种装饰。印池设计主张让空间有温度，更关注人与空间的关系。空间是为人服务的，我们会因人而异、因地制宜，通过定制化设计打造让人心安定的空间氛围和专属生活体验。
“IN” (Chinese: Yin) comes from the"Book of Changes", which means protection, kindness, and wisdom, while “CHI” (Chinese: CHI) represents tolerance, all-encompassing, and is also an ornament during ancient times.
We believe a space should serve its users. Thus, we advocate that design should be in accordance with the space, and we offer custom design for our clients to build a place that is mind-calming and can have a unique custom life experience.

Q：印池设计创立至今已有四年时间，它的成长和孕育过程中有没有发生过一些趣事？
Q: It has been four years since the establishment of INCHI studio. Some interesting stories to share with us?
参天大树非一日长成。作为创始人，设计路上有遇到过不少有意思的前辈设计师。有正吃着饭，得知客户找到了合适的沙发，立马放下筷子就赶去确认合不合适的前辈；也有为了挑选到一个合适的纸巾盒，采购了足足十个款式来对比材质和手感的前辈。有前辈强调设计房子要考虑房子对这个城市应该负的责任，有前辈强调设计师的社会责任感。
A: Rome wasn’t built in one day. As the founder, I have met a few experienced senior designers with interesting stories. There is a designer who would immediately put down the chopsticks and rush to confirm the furniture product selection the moment he heard that the client found a suitable sofa. There is also a designer to buy ten different kinds of tissue boxes to find out which one is the best in terms of materials and texture. Some might even advocate a house should be.
在学习和成长过程中，年轻设计师领会到的设计精神培育出职业素养，这些人格品质熠熠发光，都成为催生印池设计价值观的养料。
By witnessing all those forerunners, young designers will learn to cultivate their own professional qualities. INCHI studio has definitely learned from them and formed its special design concepts.
Q：印池设计是如何对待经手的每个项目的？在与客户对接过程中是否有一些心得分享？
Q: What is the way that INCHI studio treats every project? Do you have any experience to share in terms of talking to clients?
我们会认真对待经手的每一个项目，对客户负责，对项目落地成果负责。每一个设计项目都是独一无二的，从设计到落地，主创设计师会亲自跟进。团队用时间和心血浇灌每一个项目，珍惜与客户、施工队、材料商等合作伙伴的某一段时空交集，去享受这个一起战斗的过程，项目进行到最后的战果和荣誉也是所有人的。
A: We treat every project that we got very seriously for we think we are responsible to our clients. The final landing of the project will all come down to how we handle the project. I will follow each project through. The INCHI team is highly dedicated to every project, treasuring each moment we spend with clients, construction teams, and product suppliers. Eventually, it’s teamwork.
在与客户的对接上，印池设计一直关注双方前期的了解和沟通。我们会尊重客户的想法，共情业主、置换身份去思考设计解决方案。只有与客户达成相互信任，目标、理念、方向一致，才能帮助团队更好地理解客户需求，完成每一个项目。
In talking with our clients, we would build trust in the early stage with our clients. We respect their thoughts and will learn to think from our client's perspectives. To finish each project successfully, we believe we will have to achieve mutual understanding to do just that.
Q：印池设计在BuildMost平台有哪些体验？请分享一下设计师角度的使用感受。
Q: What is the experience of INCHI studio on BuildMost platform?
BuildMost平台有中英文两个平台，我们在中文版和英文版都有体验。我们认为在这个平台，设计师与客户链接的几率很大，同时国内设计师有很大机会去对接到海外客户，开拓海外设计市场。
A: BuildMost has both Chinese and English for different users. We did register on both of them and experience them a bit. We believe that on BuildMost, a designer can easily connect with global clients.
BuildMost’s “Find Requirement”
平台前景很好，它将全球设计资源和需求资源进行匹配，对于内卷如此严重的国内房地产周边行业，是一个很好的突破口。印池设计从2022年3月接触到BuildMost，邀请我入驻平台的工作人员一直非常有耐心，作为平台用户，我们很放心。
I think BuildMost is promising for designers for it is a place with both global designers and design requirements. China’s real estate industry has been somehow “stuck”. Designers can find a breakthrough with BuildMost. INCHI design studio first knew BuildMost on March 2022 and the customer support has been patient.

Q: Displaying design works on BuildMost is a great way to show a designer’s capabilities. Would you like to share a design work of INCHI design studio?
印池设计有一个蛮有意思的餐厅设计项目——辣木食堂。这是一个隐匿在工业园区里的有主题的公共空间，业主是第二次与我们合作，团队之间的配合度很高。
项目整个开展过程是比较顺畅的，难点在于后期与施工队的沟通。我们曾经为了一个酒柜特地跑到苏州民宿参观学习制作工艺。
A: INCHI design studio has done a very interesting project called Moringa Canteen. It is a themed public restaurant in an industrial park. It is the second time that the owner and INCHI design studio have cooperated. We cooperated quite smoothly. We even went to a Suzhou B&B to learn how to craft a wine cooler.

辣木食堂，一栋工业园区里面的独栋四层小楼，业主改造用来作餐厅/私人会所。原结构方正，开间大、进深深，需要在原来良好结构的基础上进行空间合理分配，让空间富有中国古典建筑中一步一景的美。设计在满足功能需求基础上，赋予空间故事性，让整个室内布局合理且有主题。
Moringa Canteen is a four-story stand-alone building in an industrial park in Shenzhen Meilin district. The owner wanted to remodel it into a themed restaurant and private club. The original structure is rectangular and long in the length. Optimizing the space layout based on the original structure and embellishing the space with Chinese culture has been the goal of the design. Designer Dai Chun wanted the interior space to have all the functionalities as well stories.
一楼，前厅。进门的海棠窗造型借鉴了中式园林的移步借景，令空间更有通透感。前厅的山水造景为空间增添户外气息。
First Floor: Reception
The karesansui (dry garden) creates a small landscape in the reception, adding a sense of outdoor.
二层，定。采用深黑胡桃色系家具，纯色窗帘，让客人开门即有安定的情绪。松鹤延年的壁纸，镂空的芭蕉造型金属花窗，入夜便是明月松间照的意境。
Second Floor: Theme of "Calm"
The walnut-colored furniture and metal banana leaf-shaped window frame make the whole space calm and quiet.
三层，圆。推开门的月洞门玄关，场景随即由暗转亮，豁然开朗。空间采用榆木色系家具搭配柔蓝壁纸，若影若现的黛山造型卷帘延伸视觉，仿佛置身于群山之巅饱览月夜静谧景致。
Third Floor: Theme of "Round"
Blue wallpaper makes the whole space vibrant. The Chinese landscape painting roller curtain is ethereal.
四层，聚。海上生明月，月亮徐徐在水面升起，不锈钢水波纹营造微风习习的场景感，山水图案卷帘，金属芭蕉窗框将抬眼望出去的“雨打芭蕉”场景定格。空间打通由两张大圆桌组成，中间的移动隔断根据需要自由开合。在这里可以足够容纳一个团队聚餐或一个家族party。
Fourth Floor: Theme of "Reunion"
A bright full moon representing reunion is on the center of the wall. The large space allows gathering on a bigger scale.
五层，续。顶楼户外露台，白天在此咖啡、聊天、看书，是不可多得的避世屋顶小花园；夜晚，风灯、月亮灯以及闪烁着如呼吸一般的萤火虫灯星星灯，营造出浪漫的露天吧台氛围。
Fifth Floor: Theme of "Continue"
The open-air bar on the top floor looks vastly different in daytime and night with different lighting.
Q：在设计之外，印池设计还有哪些心得想要分享？
Q: How do INCHI design studio will do to help land a project?
设计项目是一个需要多方协调与配合才能达成的工作。有时候，我们也会遇到和施工队及材料方在预算问题上产生分歧的情况。许多设计团队以为是常识性的问题，却会因为在施工时设计师疏于一一交代细节，而造成不可逆转的遗憾。
A: A design project is a job that will require multi-party cooperation. Sometimes we will have disagreements with the construction team regarding the materials and budget. Problems will happen when designers take things for granted and do not clarify things. It’s hard for the construction team to understand the design from the perspective of the designer. Thus, effective communication seems especially important.
对于设计出品的品质，上述提及的每一方都有不同的考量，要保证最终的落地效果，需要设计师在各方之间进行有效的统筹规划和周旋。可支配资源范围内，如何尽量达到更好的效果，应该是多方共识后的首要目标。
To help land a design successfully, a designer will have to find a sweet middle point for different parties. Making sure everybody has the same goal is now the most important thing.
Q：对于印池设计的未来，请谈谈您的期待或展望。
Q: Where is INCHI design studio going?
印池设计不为自己设限。我最近一直在进行建筑学的学习，有计划往建筑室内设计师的方向发展，开发一些可控的理想村或小镇项目。我希望让更多的城市人能与大自然链接，在繁重的学业和工作之余，他们能在自然中间找到一方天地小憩，在田园生活中找到片刻安宁。
