BRIEF INTRODUCTION

Generally the spigots or pillars are set into a cored hole in a concrete slab or screwed onto the wood floor, but can be adapted to attach to a variety of surfaces. The glass is then fitted into the spigots or pillars and bolted through the glass to provide a secure structure. The spigots or pillars are made from corrosion resistant marine quality 316 stainless steel, designed to hold the glass above the ground whilst allowing water to flow underneath.

Tempered glass is a heat toughened safety glass. It has under gone a special heat treatment to increase its strength and resistance to impact. In fact, tempered glass is approximately five times more resistant than normal glass. And if broken, tempered glass breaks into small pieces so that it won't hurt people.

Laminated glass comprises two or more sheets of glass bonded together with one or more interlayer's of polyvinyl butyric (PVB) film. After high temperature and pressure treatment, the glass and film is totally become one. If the laminated glass breaks, the fragments of glass are held in place by the interlayer(s).So tempered laminated glass is a double security solution.

EDGE DETAILS
Normally the edge of the glass is flat polished, which brings both good safety and fancy looking. If you need round polished, it is also available.
